5S:Steps of Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke,which is one of the most powerful Lean Manufacturing Tools and a cornerstone of any successful implementation, a simple tool for organizing your workplace in a clean, efficient and safe manner to enhance your productivity, visual management and to ensure the introduction of standardized working. 

6 Sigma: A six sigma process is one in which 99.99966% of all opportunities to produce some feature of a part are statistically expected to be free of defects (3.4 defective features per million opportunities). It is a methodology used to improve business processes by utilizing statistical analysis rather than guesswork.  6 Sigma methodology is defined by 5 DMAIC steps. DMAIC is the acronym for Define – Measure – Analyze – Improve – Control. 

PPM:Parts Per Million, which is a value that represents the defected part of a whole number in units of 1/1000000.

Cpk:Process capability index is a statistical measure of process capability: the ability of a process to produce output within specification limits. Cpk <1.33,unacceptable; 1.33<Cpk<1.67, safety and normal; 1.67 <Cpk<2.0, excellent; Cpk>2.0, unnecessary precision. 

8D:Eight disciplines, a usefule problem solving approach typically employed by quality engineers with  purpose to identify, correct, and eliminate recurring problems in product and process improvement.

APQP:Advanced product quality planning is a framework of procedures and techniques used to develop products in industries, which is to produce a product quality plan which will support development of a product or service that will satisfy the customer.
