Cellasto is the trade name for BASF Polyurethanes’ high performance, microcellular polyurethane elastomer. Cellasto components have been used successfully for over 35 years as the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) solution for automotive chassis and suspension applications such as jounce bumpers, buffers top mounts and coil spring isolators.

Cellasto is also used in many other applications outside of automotive such as: elevator safety buffers; paper conveying components; friction dampers; subframe, motor & body mounts; and more.

There are machines with a sensitive touch, cash dispensers, for instance. The sensitive ›fingers‹ inside them never make a mistake and always hand out the correct sum. For cash dispensers absolute reliability is crucial. For this reason manufacturers bank on Cellasto for their counters. The durable Cellasto rolls and conveyor belts always have the right sensitivity. How is this feeling created? The sensitive grip is the result of the vacuum effect between the microscopic structure of Cellasto cells and the friction coefficient of the banknote.

Good grip, absolute reliability and good durability are the demanding specifications Cellasto transport and counting rolls meet, e.g. in cash dispensers.
